As a practitioner of Occupational Therapy in the schools, I have been trained to think about the whole child. This includes their emotional & social health, their ability to visualize and play freely, to explore and understand the sensory world around them, and encourage their need to have a place to explore and connect with the natural environment.

Our first bed was built May 1, 2015.

Our garden is funded through a variety of grants, fundraisers, and private contributions.
What is your best advice for beginning a school or community garden?
Build your garden in phases and complete one stage at a time. Taking on too much can be a recipe for disaster and will drive you crazy.
What is your greatest need?
Volunteers for planting, maintaining and special projects.
